The Sandbox
The Sandbox is an open virtual world with a voxel aesthetic and a creator toolchain, in which LAND is a token holders own outright. It sold land aggressively during the 2021 peak in partnership with recognisable brands, and has since recorded the deepest drawdown of the major worlds.
The supply lesson
Every parcel sold during the peak was also a parcel added to future supply. When the brand cohort stopped renewing, the market held an inventory sized for a population that never arrived. LAND is down roughly 95%, from an average near 2.86 ETH to about 0.13 ETH.
What to check in any world
Total parcels minted against daily actives. If the ratio is worse than one parcel per daily user, most land will never see a visitor — a structural fact no amount of world-building corrects later.
